CATE STEVENSON is the senior vice president and managing director of the global office of purpose & diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Stevenson leads efforts to address systemic barriers, enhance DEI skills, and foster an equitable, inclusive workplace where employees thrive. Known for her inclusive leadership and commitment to DEI, Stevenson brings extensive experience in transformation, operational excellence, and creating a culture of equity. She joined Liberty Mutual as an actuarial analyst, advancing through roles in finance and analytics, including chief financial officer for U.S. personal lines and global retail markets. In 2022, she prioritized her well-being and family, later taking on her current role. Stevenson is a Bates College graduate, originally from Massachusetts, and now lives in Maine with her husband, son, and chocolate lab.
